Can’t you wait for the start of the 2026 World Cup either? At Oranje Palace we’re already warming up nicely. Of course, we’re all hoping the Dutch national team will perform well. And what can countries like Curaçao and Cape Verde achieve at the biggest football tournament in the world?

From June 11 to July 19, a lot will be happening in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The great thing is that with World Cup 2026 Outrights you can already make certain predictions for the tournament now. How about betting on the total number of goals or the number of hat-tricks scored? If you want to bet on these, we warmly invite you to join our Oranje Originals.

What are Oranje Originals?

Are you familiar with outrights in the world of sports betting? Then you know these are bets that apply over a longer period. Think of predicting who will win the Eredivisie or Premier League title. Or the top scorer of the Champions League?

The same principle can of course be applied to the 2026 World Cup. The World Cup 2026 outright bets are best described as long-term World Cup bets, where you predict what will happen throughout the entire tournament. At Oranje Palace, these WK outrights are called Oranje Originals.

If you participate, you’ll be on the edge of your seat for over a month, hoping your prediction comes true. Below you can read more about some interesting Oranje Originals.

Goals, Goals and More Goals

True football lovers are of course hoping for plenty of goals. Whether it’s a header, a spectacular bicycle kick or a scrappy goal — they all count. The best part is that you can bet in advance on the total number of goals scored at the 2026 World Cup. If you think there will be 295 or more goals, you play at odds of 3.25. If you believe in a goal fest and go for 320 or more goals, the odds are 21.00.

To give you a helping hand, here’s a quick overview of the total number of goals at the last World Cups:

Tournament Number of matches Number of goals Average goals per match
WK 2002 64 161 2,52
WK 2006 64 147 2,30
WK 2010 64 145 2,27
WK 2014 64 171 2,67
WK 2018 64 169 2,64
WK 2022 64 172 2,69

If we follow the trend of the last three World Cups, we can expect around 275-280 goals at the 2026 World Cup. That’s considerably more than before, mainly because this is the first time in history that 48 countries are participating. Instead of 64 matches, there will be 104 games played. Among all those nations are of course many smaller footballing countries such as Haiti, Curaçao, Uzbekistan and Iraq. We wouldn’t be surprised if some matches end 6-0 when a big football nation gets going. That’s why we expect more goals at this World Cup than ever before!

Hattrick: A Dream for Every Player

For every player, playing at the World Cup is a dream. Scoring a hat-trick makes it even better — something Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane and Gonçalo Ramos have achieved in the past. Naturally, you can bet on this too.

With the Oranje Original ‘3+ Hattricks’ you play at attractive odds. Especially if you go for 4+, 5+ or even more hat-tricks. It’s worth noting that in the last six World Cups, there were never more than two hat-tricks scored. On the other hand, there are now almost twice as many matches. If you go for three or more hat-tricks at the 2026 World Cup, the odds are 2.25.
