PSV v Feyenoord Eredivisie Prediction
Will league leaders Feyenoord win the always tricky away match against reigning national champions PSV? Oranje Palace looks ahead to PSV v Feyenoord.
This Sunday afternoon at 2.30 pm, a real cracker is on the cards in the Eredivisie. We are, of course, talking about PSV v Feyenoord, the third- and first-placed teams in our league. Whilst Feyenoord remain unbeaten so far, PSV seem to be going through a bit of a dip in form. And yet, out of the blue, PSV pulled off a very impressive victory in the Champions League. Will this victory over FC Porto give the PSV players the confidence they need? Or will Feyenoord come out on top at the Philips Stadion too? Here is our PSV v Feyenoord prediction.

PSV v Feyenoord preview
With three defeats in their last five matches, PSV do not appear to be performing at their best at the moment. Although Feyenoord lost in the Champions League last Wednesday, they had won their five previous matches against Telstar, Como, AZ Alkmaar, FC Utrecht and PEC Zwolle. Here’s a brief look at both teams.
Current Form & Team News
PSV
Guus Til’s goal was a real lifeline. The former AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord player scored the winner in the away match against FC Porto, giving his manager some breathing space. Whichever way you look at it, PSV are under pressure. Particularly because a team that has been Dutch champions for three years running simply cannot afford to lose to ADO Den Haag and FC Twente.
Fortunately for PSV, Ricardo Pepi is finally back in action as a fit striker. The question is, however, whether we’ll see him in action straight away against Feyenoord. On top of that, Sven Mijnans is suspended following his ill-advised red card against ADO Den Haag.
Feyenoord
Feyenoord discovered against Real Betis that they are not invincible. It was to be expected that the Andalusians would put in a strong performance, but in fact Feyenoord were under pressure for almost the entire match. Still, those thoughts will soon be put aside, as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side have the chance to extend their lead over PSV to as many as seven points. On the other hand, a win for PSV would mean the Eredivisie table would once again be very tight. Will Feyenoord remain unbeaten after ten Eredivisie matches?
Head-to-Head
A look at the most recent head-to-head matches between PSV and Feyenoord shows that PSV have by far the better record. PSV have, in fact, won the last five times the two sides have faced each other. Feyenoord’s last victory over PSV in the Eredivisie dates back to 19 September 2021. Will they manage it in 2026?
Predicted line-ups
PSV (4-2-3-1):
Kovar, Kostic, Obispo, Geertruida, Dest, Sano, Mauro Jr, Til, Perisic, Pepi, Bajrektarevic
Feyenoord (4-3-3):
Ernst, Lopez, Marmol, St. Juste, Read, Vanhoutte, Targhalline, Zechiël, Valente, Ferri, Hadj Moussa
PSV v Feyenoord betting tips
Betting tip 1: Over 2.5 goals scored by PSV
Matches between PSV and Feyenoord are almost always a treat to watch. Take, for example, last year’s 3-0 victory. Remarkably, PSV have scored three or more goals in five of their last six matches against Feyenoord. We reckon PSV will put in an excellent performance against Feyenoord, scoring three goals once again. Betting on PSV to score more than 2.5 goals gives you odds of 2.60.
Betting tip 2: Over 0.5 shots on target by Esmir Bajraktarevic
One of the standout performers in the FC Porto v PSV match was the Bosnian Esmir Bajraktarevic. The still-young winger hasn’t had the easiest of times at PSV, but against the Portuguese side he made his mark and was a constant threat. We reckon he’ll start in the starting line-up against Feyenoord as well, and will have at least one shot on target. If Esmir Bajraktarevic has more than 0.5 shots on target, you’ll get odds of 1.85.
PSV v Feyenoord prediction
Final score: PSV - Feyenoord 3-1
Feyenoord may well be top of the table, but we reckon PSV will put a stop to the Rotterdam side’s run. We’re predicting a 3-1 win for the home side, mainly because PSV have pretty much always beaten Feyenoord in recent years. What’s your prediction?
